A Little corner of Italy in Sandwich. The renowned Rose’s store in King street is now the place to go to experience some real Italian hospitality.
Cristiano and Steve have opened what is fast becoming a focal point of the social life of Sandwich, something that has been lacking in this wonderful medieval town.
Aptly, Rose’s has been (cheekily) renamed Rosa’s, a “vinarium” in the true sense of the word, a friendly beacon of taste and Italian savoir faire.
Relying on his Neapolitan heritage and experience in the hospitality industry, Cristiano has teamed up with Steve to offer a superb list of wines and some excellent food (their cold cuts are to die for) to a growing clientele who are discovering the joys of socialising in a beautiful setting and being introduced to some of Italy’s most renowned wines and delicacies.
But wine is not the only thing on offer: all sorts of interesting “refreshments” are available, including a good coffee made the way it should be made, and some excellent food from the small kitchen to complement the heavenly drinks menu.
But most of all it is the atmosphere, ignited by the welcoming smiles and friendly oenological advice of the hosts in Rosa’s that will lure you there, to be seduced and imbibed, grateful for the new cosmopolitan addition to this gem of a town.
Look out for future initiatives such as wine and food tastings and themed events that Paramour Grange is planning with our Italian friends.
