Just a quick explanation of what to expect in regards to costs:
The basic price for the house, as stated, is £350.00 per night and that is for up to six guests during mid/low season, it increases only slightly during high seasons but then other factors occur (please ask for details regarding Christmas, New Year etc.). Minimum stay during the week is three days. The basic weekends cost £400 per night (Friday and Saturday), again for a maximum of 6 guests. Minimum weekend bookings are for two days. Every additional guest, up to the maximum capacity of 10, will be charged a flat rate of £35 per night. There is a cleaning fee of £45 per stay, reviewable for longer periods.
Make sure you are aware of the sleeping arrangements so you know if they will suit your group:
(The Painted room) 1 King size bed and 1 day bed/single bed suitable for a child (travel cot also available if needed)
(Brass bed) 1 King size bed
(The white room) 2 Double beds – this can sleep two couples or a couple and a child
(The loft room) 2 single beds, 1 double sofa bed, 1 single sofa bed
So the total number of guests we can accommodate is 10, 12 maximum
We prefer to let the house and the Granary separately, not contemporarily. This could be arranged on special occasions and at special conditions (again, please ask for details).
Given the exceptional nature of the house and its historic significance, we tend to be selective with our guests, so in order to make sure your stay will be the best possible experience for you, please let us know the composition of your group and what your expectations are and we will endeavour to do everything possible to make your stay unforgettable.
Please remember that, though we love children of all ages, we prefer those who are older than 12. Well mannered and responsible children younger than that will have to be the responsibility of their accompanying family. Regardless of age, they will all enjoy exploring the house, the garden and the surrounding countryside, full of adventures and history.
